Hatha Yoga is “the yoga of postures.” Each yoga practice consists of a flowing sequence of postures designed to warm  and strengthen the body. Benefits of regular yoga practice include Increased flexibility, stamina and muscular strength. Regular practice promotes a healthy metabolism, supple spine, and enhances mental clarity. Organ, digestive, and circulatory function may be improved through regular yoga practice. Promoting a mind-body connection through breath awareness and control, yoga can be used to reduce symptoms and sensations of anxiety. Physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellness are fostered through regular yoga practice, enhancing the capacity for stress management.
What is Yoga?

Yoga Classes are held at two locations: Picture Hills Fitness & Staley Farms. For more information please contact me or the facilities. Michelle also leads yoga at Park University & the classes are open to Park students.

All fitness and experience levels are welcome in yoga classes led by Michelle; modifications are suggested in place of advanced poses. Health conditions that may greatly limit participation in yoga classes include pregnancy, injury, or illness. Specialized yoga instruction appropriate for nearly any health condition is available.  A therapeutic and restorative yoga program can be designed around your specific needs and abilities. Beginner, intermediate and advanced experience level group and individual yoga instruction is available upon request.
